Now a head full of bourbon and a dream in the straw.

I think that maybe, I am already sick of school.

Here are some pictures from the Luke Doucet show last night. Wow, it was amazing. He's so boyish looking and charming. He played at the church on Spadina with a four piece orchestra. Kevin Fox was on cello. I now love him.

We sat in pews in the dark while he played on the church stage in front of a really large organ. Lindy was there and tan, so was Joel from Man Made Food (I don't know why but I always see people from the Food Network). He's the only person that can adequately pull off not having an opening band. And I have to say that I now enjoy Melissa McClelland playing with him. She gives his songs a prettier sound. And the Tom Wait's cover of Gun Street Girl they do together is really good.

I was sort of turned off of her when she asked Kris, in more or less words, if her dress made her look slutty. In the girl's bathroom at the Rivoli, of all places.

Near the end of his set he played At the End of the Day for his friend who passed away the day before from breast cancer. He unplugged and brought his telephone down to the middle isle while Melissa and the bass player played acoustic in the back of the church. Paul Brennan, the drummer who looks like a sailor and who stood intamitely close to Kris without her knowing at the recording of Outlaws, sort of just walked around with his egg shaker. It was the saddest and most intimate moment of any show I have ever been to. He made me, and alot of other people cry. He just looked so small and sad.

The song is the last one on Outlaws:

At the end of the day, it's all I can say that I missed you.
At the end of the day, it's all I can say that I love you.
At the end of the day, all I can say is goodbye.

Oh, come back to me.
Oh, come back to me.

What can I do?
