My diary is about to roll over the 5,000 mark and I think it should be for a good reason.
Firstly, stereogirl informed me that John P Sutton is playing with Gentlemen Reg, so I was pleasantly surprised when they were the cover story for Now magazine here in Toronto. They had a picture of the full band. I was SHOCKED when I saw it. Shocked! I actually didn't believe the little caption listing the members.

This picture is small because it's from the website on account of me recycling my copy with the full page-sized picture in it. John P is wearing red lipstick and holding that mans hand! I didn't even recognize him! I have always had some suspision that he was gay so I'm not sure if this is supposed to prove anything (not saying that because you wear lipstick you're automatically gay or that there's anything wrong with being gay). The point of this story is that I didn't even recognize a member of my all-time favourite band.
Secondly, and most important, Garden State is currently residing in my DVD player. You do not understand my love for this movie. You do not understand. I will never love a movie as much as I love this one, just like how I will never love a band more than I love the Weakerthans. Seriously. So this is the point in the entry where I declare my undying love for my friend Tristan whom remains to be one of my favourite people in the world because he sent it to me by mail (mail!) wrapped in paper and green tape with stories and funny pictures.
And now I study biochemistry.
