Would you want me when I'm not myself?

I felt the need to replace the entry with the ugly green quiz box result thing. Not very attractive.

So here is a picture of Stephen Carrol:

It is the background to my computer right now and my picture for MSN (not like I am ever on). He is so pleasantly cheerful. Kris and I agree that he would be a good husband and father.

My ears are still ringing from Modest Mouse. I will be deaf by 30 for sure. I think, as a general rule of thumb, you should not stand directly in front of a stack of amps taller in height than yourself. That sounds about right. I could feel the cells rearranging in my body every time the bass got heavy.

Anyway. Today Kris and I went down to Sam the Record Man (two words?) to see John Mayer's "in-store." And by that I mean the in-store which is actually happening tomorrow. You'd think that between the both of us we could figure out that today was Friday and not Saturday. I don't know, not having class on Friday just makes it feel like Saturday.

It was not a completely worthless trip though because I bought Mucho Cuidado by the wonderfully backwoods, porch singing Fembots. Kris bough the new Lindy. Or possibly the only Lindy. I kind of forgot that Mucho Cuidado is more or less an "instrumental" album. So far, there has been a small shred of singing in one song. I wish there was more but oh well.

I also bought a shirt from the Gap (oh the shame!) for $10. If I was less cheap I would probably buy multiple things from there. Oh yeah, and if they also weren't the epitome of everything corporate and wrong. But the shirt is nice so it is ok.

Tomorrow I'm going to Zeller's to buy a $20 boy Puma hoodie. If I can't afford the shoes I can at least afford the $20 sweatshirt.

PS: I love that it is like the fall outside. So pleasantly breezy and occasionally sunny and warm.
