And everyone is singing along.
So the Weakerthans show was last night. Raising the Fawn did a good job opening, I just don't know if I could sit through an entire set of theirs. Actually, I think their shows would be amazingly good if I knew some of their songs.
The Weakerthans were in lack of John Sutton but were joined by Dave (on keyboard) and Brian (on acoustic and whirlywind) of The Fembots (!!). I love the Fembots but it didn't make up for the fact that John was missing (I particularly enjoy him since he kissed me at the cd release and poured water on Kris's feet). Word on the street is that he got kicked out of the band. Not quit. Kicked! Out of the band! There was no mention of this during the show and they even placed the replacement bass player behind some amps and Dave's keyboard set up. The show was good but it seemed to be lacking something. Not even the Fembots could make it better than the cd release and the Toronto glass-throwing show.
Anyway, here are some pictures (my camera did not enjoy the lighting as much as it did at Matt Good). I will be adding more. Warning: there are alot.
