According to The Weakerthans, the Bluesfest has been cancelled. Well that's just fabulous. They're playing a replacement show at The Mod Club. The venue's really nice except the bouncers slash ticket people are all idiots. At Matt Good they forced the first about 100 people standing in line all afternoon to bypass the door and enter the outside drinking area, conveniently stalked with select overpriced beer. Because you know, that's fair to the people waiting in line for six hours.
But anyway this sucks for the following three reasons:
1. I have to go get a refund on my (and Kris's) Bluesfest ticket which I bought in advance just so I would be guaranteed to see them
2. The Mod Club show is tickets at the door (waiting in line for multiple hours because I have no school? I think so) AND all ages
3. The people at the Mod Club will somehow mess everything up
The only really good thing about this is that I complained about The Weakerthans not playing indoors and now they are and that it's $5 less.
Also, I hate how the DVD version of Moonlight Mile doesn't have "Love Will Come Through" in it and instead some other song which is equally nice but not Travis. Travis is better than any nice song by some other band because they are Scottish.
